Dr. Arun Chakrapani Rao completed his B.Tech. and M.Tech. degrees in Engineering from IIT-Kanpur and IIT-Madras respectively before earning a PhD in Computing Sciences & Engineering from the Software Technology Research Laboratory, De Montfort University, UK. He has a diverse background and experience in the areas of formal methods and systems engineering acquired at not only various global academic, industrial R&D organizations but also within the automotive and aerospace industries. His overall R&D and Technology Transfer experience includes contributions in: i) European Commission funded Advanced Design Tools for Aircraft Systems and Airborne Software project at OFFIS R&D Institute, Germany, ii) Premium Automotive R&D (PARD) Programme and the UK government funded Proving Integrity of Complex Systems of Systems (PICASSOS) projects at Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG), The University of Warwick, UK, iii) General Motors Technical Centre, India, in a Technology Transfer Role and iv) Rolls-Royce Sheffield UTC, UK, as Rolls-Royce funded Research Fellow. He is currently a Senior Research Fellow at WMG in collaborative R&D projects involving V&V, Functional Safety, Cybersecurity and Autonomous Driving.
